As a consequence of that, worldwide aesthetic dermatology has gotten attention. Aesthetic dermatology is the treatment of the skin, hair, or body that is meant to enhance the appearance of a patient. It is dermatology that is focused on enhancing looks instead of eradicating the disease. Aesthetic dermatology can have the beneficial effects of improving self-confidence and self-perception.
“Aesthetic Dermatologist Society of Bangladesh” a part of “SAARC Association of Aesthetic Dermatologist” organized a two-day long conference, exhibition & workshop on 8th-9th October, 2022 at a 5-star hotel in Cox’s Bazar. The program’s title was “Aesthetica Bangladesh 2022” and the theme of this year was “Breakthrough to Excellence”. Around two hundred fifty prominent dermatologists from the country and ten world-renowned Indian dermatologists attended the conference. Dr. Zeenat Meraj, President, ADSB stated “prominent medical professionals from all over the globe gathered with a single mission in mind to spread awareness and share diverse life experiences in their own countries all under a single roof has created a plethora of possibilities”
Around twenty workshops were held on topics like Basics of botox, Basics of filler, How to setup aesthetic clinic, Off level use of a neurotoxin, Gummy smile, Challenges of mid and lower face Botox, Bollywood Melasma, Chemical peels in the skin in color, Difficulty in treating facial melanosis, art and science of CO2 laser, Vaginal rejuvenation & tightening: Monalisa touch, Pico laser in Asian skin, Non-Surgical Body Shaping, What’s new in hair transplant etc. These workshops were conducted by famous dermatologists from Bangladesh & India like Dr. Jahanara Ferdous khan Jhumu. Dr. Sarker Mahbub Ahmed Shamim, Dr. Jasmin Manzoor, Dr. Anil Ganjoo, Dr. Abhishek De etc. Innovation in cosmeceuticals session was carried out by Dr. Sharmina Huq where she mentioned regarding the renowned American skincare brand SIODIL.
In particular, the global brand Siodil is developed to treat issues such as early aging, acne, dullness, dryness, and sensitive skin concerns. The brand scientifically arranges different line up such as Anti-Aging, Anti-Acne, Brightening, Moisturizing, Exfoliator Toner, and Biotin Thickening Shampoo. Live demonstrations on how to use the products were arranged in the stall alongside various entertaining activities. During the visits of dermatologists in the stall; S M Shahriar Arifin Executive Director & Head of Business said “SIODIL has an entire line consisting of toner, serum, cream, gel to treat acne. I believe consumers will be benefitted from using these products”

Asifuzzaman, Dr. Jasmin Manzoor, Dr. Rubaiya Ali. After the workshop, a quiz session was conducted by Dr. Imrose Mohit where three winners were announced and special prizes were handed out by SIODIL. Besides Aesthetical Dermatologists around thirty pharmaceuticals, suppliers, and dealers’ representatives were present during the event.
